Internal Grant for Supporting Scientific Publications for Doctoral Students

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Pécs (hereinafter: the Faculty) announces a grant for doctoral students with an active student status at the Faculty to alleviate the costs associated with publishing scientific papers.

Application deadline: Available: From 12.11.2020 until funds are exhausted.

Eligible Applicants:

Doctoral students with an active student status at the Faculty, having a journal article ready for submission and meeting the conditions detailed below, can apply.


Additional Conditions:

If the publication is linked to an ongoing project, the project leader must declare that there are no available funds for the publication within the project.


Submission of Applications:

Applications should be submitted electronically, addressed to the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs of the Faculty (varady.geza@mik.pte.hu), with the subject “Grant for Supporting Scientific Publications - Doctoral Student.”


Requirements:

The contents of the professional report should include:

- Application form (signed and scanned in .pdf format, and also in .xls or .xlsx format without signatures), which should be sent to tudomany@mik.pte.hu (enclosed)

- Conference acceptance letter/e-mail, and a certificate of presentation (after the conference participants will receive a certificate of presentation)

- Abstract clearly indicating affiliation*.

- Proof of other funding source.

- Up-to-date MTMT database.

 
Applicant must be the first author of the abstract with affiliation to UP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

*affiliation: the authors of the abstract must have an affiliation with UP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, otherwise the indicative grant amount may be adjusted by the ratio of authors from UP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and other authors. In all cases, the first author of the abstract must be affiliated to UP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, who is in fact the applicant. A research group should also be indicated in the affiliation, if relevant. For an example of a correct affiliation, see the call for proposals.
